Nervous System Pain

Peripheral nervous system pain (peripheral neuropathy) results from peripheral nerve lesions. This peripheral nerve lesion may be caused by Herpes Zoster (postherpetic neuropathy), diabetes (diabetic neuropathy), entrapment neuropathy (pain after inguinal hernia repair), and chronic alcoholism (alcoholic neuropathy).
